Which fish do you own?:
Betta Channoides Betta Dimidiata

I have just setup my pair of dimidiata's in a 20 gal long tank with a new pair of wild caught channoides. There is a lot of breeder's input on the channoides. Is anyone breeding Dimidiata?? Would some pointers beyond the general info that is around. Ph is approx 6.4 - 6.2 Soft water and temps at 72-74F. Plenty of plants and terra cotta pots and chards for caves. Tank is covered well...anything I'll need desides patience??

well the water conditions sound good for breeding, thiey are mouthbrooders and the male incubates from 7 to 12 days and the females usually begin the spawning.

personally i would try raising the water temp a bit and start feeding them lots of live foods such as bloodworm and daphnia to get them in prime condition
